Meet Our Graduating Seniors

Cumberland High School
Melissa started gymnastics at the age of 3 years old. She has been
competing for 11 years and has qualified for USAG state each year. She has
competed in Level 4, Level 5, Prep-op novice, and for the last two years in
Prep-op intermediate. For the last year and half, she has been on the
coaching staff at OSSG.

In high school she has been involved in the following activities:
School band (Freshman and Sophomore years)
Basketball Cheerleading Squad (Sophomore year)
Football Cheerleading Squad (Junior and Senior years)
Volunteer for the Special Olympics team

Melissa plans to attend college next year, either Rhode Island College or
CCRI. She plans to study in the field of either physical therapy, physical
trainer, or physical education.

Meghan has been participating in gymnastics since the age of four. She has been competing gymnastics for eleven years and is an eleven time USAG State Qualifier.

Meghan is undecided in which college she plans to go to but would like to continue competing in college gymnastics. She plans on majoring in Physical Education and hopes to someday own her own Gymnastics Facility.

Emily is an honor student at La Salle Academy. She has been a gymnast for over 10 years and is currently a level 8 gymnast at OSSG. She has been a USAG qualifier for 10 years and a regional qualifier for four years.
She has also competed for her High School team for the past few years. Together as a team they went on to win four State Championships, Division Championships and this year they won the New England’s in CT, She will part of the Senior National Team competing in Virginia Beach this May.

Emily has also received the Providence Journal Award as well as second team all state award in 2008. She has been part of the LaSalle track and field team where she competed in the 300 meter hurdles, long jump, and pole vaulting.

She plans on attending Sacred Heart University, or Rhode ISland College to pursue a career in nursing.
